Winston Cup

The Winston Cup is the biggest internal competition of the year for the Bristol Debating Union – anybody who’s a student at the University of Bristol or a member of the BDU can compete, absolutely free, with prizes up for grabs.

This year’s cup had three great rounds of debating on a variety of topics, ending in a grand final, kindly sponsored by Irwin Mitchell.

Debating is a fun, thought-provoking activity that enhances your understanding of the world and improves your ablity to analyse arguments and present them persuasively. Whether you’ve been debating with us this year, or used to debate at school, or have never tried it, the Winston Cup is a great way to get involved.
