AGM

The BDU AGM is being held on the 29th February, between 2pm and 4pm. We provide snacks and alcohol, then flock to a social where we will be holding a drunken debate. The AGM is your opportunity to change the society, either by running for one of our committee positions or by submitting changes to our constitution. If you haven’t yet read our constitution (or don’t even know what it is!), then you can please feel free to read it: BDU Constitution. Any submissions to change the constitution should be sent to our treasurer, Helen Skinner at hs9457@bristol.ac.uk.

If you are running for a position, you may submit a manifesto to be considered by the society members prior to the AGM. Please send these to Anh Nguyen at Anh.Nguyen@bristol.ac.uk and he will forward them round our newsletter mailing list. I will be keeping a note of who is applying for what here, with their names linking to submitted manifestos where those exist.

  • President: Alice Coombes Huntley
  • Vice President: Hannah Aina
  • Director of Training: Non Humphries
  • Treasurer: Gill Geng
  • Secretary: Tom Denbigh
  • External Convenor: Ben Andrew
  • Schools Officer: Ben Andrew
  • Public Relations Officer: Will Moulding and Edward Greaves (split role)

Just because some positions already have people interested doesn’t mean you can’t run for those. Competition is encouraged and makes the whole committee better. In addition, you are perfectly entitled to decide to run on the day.
